This fun little Chromebook won’t win any awards for speed or power, but we still love it, and it’s reasonably priced. It has a small screen, but it’s high resolution for its size, and 4 gigabytes of RAM is enough for web browsing and casual use. This price is not unique on Black Friday; it’s been on sale for some time but it’s still good.
This mid-range HP laptop has an Intel Core i5 chip, 8 gigabytes of RAM, and a 256-gigabyte SSD. That’s enough power for most people, but if you plan on editing photos and videos, you’ll want to look anywhere. Also note that while it ships Windows 10, it can be upgraded to Windows 11 for free.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 (8/10, Recommended by WIRED) is one of the most beautiful Chromebooks on the market. It has a sturdy, lightweight aluminum body with a build quality that surpasses many expensive laptops I’ve tested. The bright, rich -color screen isn’t as pretty as the original 4K model, but it’s even better than most Chromebooks. The original Galaxy Chromebook is the same sold for $ 599 ($ 100 discount). It has impressive specs, but battery life isn’t very good.
This deal started in October, but it was a very good one. Previously, it was the most beautiful Chromebook on the market. These days that prize is likely to go to the Galaxy Chromebook at the top, but it’s still a solid machine, especially the Core i5 model sold here.

With a fast refresh rate (144 Hz) and support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, this curved monitor delivers smooth graphics. It’s the lowest price we’ve seen on this monitor, and it’s a great option for gamers.
The G3 is a small step up from the G7 above, with resolution from Wide QHD to Full HD, but it has the same refresh rate and support as AMD FreeSync, and it’s not half the price.
It’s a pretty solid deal for a Full HD monitor of this size. There is AMD FreeSync support, including HDR, something we don’t usually see at this price point.
Networking and Router Deals
No matter how fast your internet is … it can be faster. Upgrading your router is one of the best ways to upgrade your internet experience at home. We haven’t tested Netgear’s Nighthawk XR1000 gaming router yet, but it supposedly offers impressive speeds, apps for iOS and Android, and support for Wi-Fi 6.
Google’s Nest mesh system for easy to use and provides good coverage. It lacks support for the new Wi-Fi 6 standard, but at this price, it’s a good buy. If there is not much space to cover, one unit (the router only) will $ 139 on Amazon ($ 30 discount).
The Netgear Orbi AX4200 is our favorite mesh system for large houses. It’s not the easiest to set up, but thankfully, you’ll have to do it once. When you’re done, you have a system that quickly covers a lot of gaps and delivers very good speeds, with satellite nodes almost as fast as the main router.
