10 Best TVs We Tried: Cheap, 4K, 8K, OLED, and Tips (2021)
Storage for a new screen? To help you navigate the many seemingly identical TV models from Samsung, LG, Vizio, TCL, Sony, and other manufacturers, we’ve looked at hundreds of hours of them and we chose some of our favorites. We’ve listed everything from the very best budget TV to the absolute best set you can buy – and some very good choices in between.
Unless there is another label, each TV we link to is 55 inches. There are always larger and smaller sizes available on the seller’s site, but this is a very good size for most offenders. All of these models have a 4K Ultra HD pixel resolution (and some have 8K), so there aren’t many good reasons to buy a standard HDTV again.
We also believe you should invest in a good soundbar and TV streaming stick. TVs today have nice displays, but they are terrible in sound and in running apps. Be sure to check out our others buying instructions.
Updated October 2021: We added the Samsung QN90A, Hisense U8G, LG C1 OLED, and Sony A90J. There is already little fluctuation in price due to lack of international chip. We have updated the links and prices, but may change more than usual.
